Westlam Paint Grade MDO is constructed to CSA O121 standard using a unique one-step process. All adhesives used are fully waterproof phenolic resins that meet both CSA and APA PS-1 exterior glue bond standards.

Available in 1220 mm x 2440 mm and 610 mm x 2440 mm in 9.5 mm to 28.5 mm thickness.

  • Quality General Purpose Panel
    We use a unique one-step process allowing us the keep the panel affordable while maintaining the quality you expect from Westlam overlaid plywood.

  • One or Two Sided Options
    Our Paint Grade MDO panels are available in both one or two sided layups to meet your specific projects needs.

  • Available with Hardwood Veneer
    Paint Grade MDO is available with a Hardwood face and back veneer allowing for a smoother finished product with less grain transfer than with a traditional softwood face.

  • Great for Industrial Paint Applications
    The overlaid face of our Paint Grade panel is great for applications that requires a primer and paint ready surface such as temporary signage, siding, industrial cabinets, soffits and fascia or crates.

    Our Paint Grade plywood is not intended for reflective or high-gloss applications.

  • Storage and Handling
    Paint Grade MDO should always be stored in a clean, dry, well ventilated location without exposure to direct sunlight.

  • Working with MDO
    You should always use high-quality carbide-tipped cutting tools when working with Paint Grade MDO. This will help produce a cleaner finished product.

  • Weather Seal Before Exposure
    Before exposing Paint Grade MDO to outdoor conditions, an appropriate weatherproof paint and primer must be applied to all panel surfaces.  We recommend speaking to your local paint expert about what products are best suited for your specific climate and task at hand.
